There are mountains in the American state of Missouri called the Ozarks. And there is a national park with the same name. We have long known that everything that starts with "o-" is Megrelian and toponymic. Therefore, "ozark" is "the country of zark-", whatever this "zark" means.
We do not find the word "zarki" in the Kartvelian dictionaties. But we do find a masdar, which is derived from this word - ზარქაფი. It means “კამეჩივით ზანტი - "slow gait of a bison". From this we conclude, that "zarki" means "bison".
First, let's remember that Megrelians often insert "r" where Georgians don’t. The first thing that comes to mind is the pair "kosa-korsa". And then know it is right, because next to ზარქაფი Kobalia shows another word ზარქალი, which translates not only as “კამეჩივით...,” but also “ზაქივით...”. So, the pair "zark-zak" is obvious. To double-check, we look in the Georgian dictionary, where ზაქი (zaki) is exactly "young bison". So, we have just legitimately restored Megrelian "zarki" from Georgian "zaki" meaning "bison". This word has already disappeared. But not for us...
Any connection of Ozark to bisons? You bet.
The highest point in the Ozark Mountains in Missouri is called "Buffalo Point". And the river that flows right next to the Ozark Mountains is called "Buffalo".
How come this Megrelian toponym showed up in Missouri you don’t need to worry, because Missouri itself is a Kartvelian word which you will find in a dictionary in its pure form (see a separate article).
By the way, the river "Niangua" flows nearby ("niangi" means "crocodile" in Georgian). The word has signature Megrelian masdar UA-ending, and the alligators (another Kartvelian word, by the way) can be met in these places once in a while even today. While 3000 years ago, when the Kartvelian names were given to these locations, and all the planet’s ice was melted, the temperature was way higher.
